We are proud to announce that Derrick Hanke recently completed the Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) program offered by the Tree Care Industry Association.
What is a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP)?
In order to fulfill program requirements, CTSPs must complete a study guide, attend a two-day training workshop, and pass a rigorous exam.
Once certified, CTSPs must complete at least 30 hours of training others, or receiving education themselves, every three years.
Why We Have a CTSP On Staff
As part of our commitment to safe practices in arboriculture, we believe that it’s important to have a Certified Treecare Safety Professional on staff.
CTSPs are kept abreast of the latest technological advances and regulatory activities affecting the industry (through the TCIA safety network), and must commit to ongoing education in the safety field in order to maintain their certification. Because safety regulations and industry standards are continually evolving, the ongoing education requirement is vital to maintaining a legitimate safety program within our company.
While all of our employees are thoroughly trained and experienced in safe tree care practices, Derrick is now designated as our company’s certified tree care safety expert. By having a CTSP like Derrick on board, we feel employees will be further empowered and encouraged to create a culture of safety within our company.
You can rest easier knowing that hiring a tree care company with a CTSP on staff helps to ensure safe and professional arboricultural work on your property.
