Organic Tick & Mosquito Control – Safe & Effective

deer tick

Although you may not see them, even the most perfectly maintained yard in New Jersey and Pennsylvania probably contains ticks and mosquitos. Ticks and mosquitos survive with access to food sources, which include you and your pets, and in the case of mosquitoes, access to standing water for breeding.

"We are so pleased with the service provided from Organic Plant Care, LLC because our problems with mosquitoes and ticks were serious and the use of persistent pesticides was unacceptable having a dog and caring about exposure to toxic pesticides. I recommend this company to all who express their needs for pest control. The service is 'seamless' and efficient; personnel are pleasant to deal with and responsive."

Facts About Ticks

Deer ticks, in particular, are known carriers of Lyme disease, the number one tick-borne illness in the US. Each year, more than 30,000 cases of Lyme disease are reported to the CDC, with most cases concentrated heavily in the Northeast and upper Midwest.  In other words, ticks and Lyme disease are here in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

"Your spraying has really cut the number of ticks down to a bare minimum. 👍With the previous tick company (prior to using OPC) we would find maybe 5 or 6 ticks per week [on our dogs]..."

Safe, Effective & Organic
Tick & Mosquito Control

Tick & Mosquito Control Programs

We have two goals with our organic tick control and mosquito suppression programs –

  1. Control must be effective in protecting your family and reducing the risk of bites and transmission of disease, and
  2. It has to be safe for you, your family and pets, and the environment.

Our organic tick and mosquito control sprays are completely organic and safe for your children and pets. They provide a quick “knock-down” effect and continue to repel ticks and mosquitoes for a month or more.

To minimize impact on beneficial insect populations, we target our applications to specific tick habitats. These include natural borders, 15-20 feet into woodland transition areas, rock walls, woodpiles, shrub beds and ground covers around your house.

When is Tick & Mosquito Treatment Needed?

Our tick control and mosquito suppression applications are specifically timed to suppress ticks and mosquitoes at each of their peak growth stages. Our licensed, trained technicians know where they’re lurking and when they’re most vulnerable.

This allows us to avoid using synthetic, toxic chemicals with dangerous health and environmental impacts.

Choose Your Tick & Mosquito Control Program

We offer two Tick & Mosquito Control Programs to best meet your individual needs.

We’ll take a look at your property (there’s no fee for the consultation) and give you an honest evaluation of the best course of action.

We provide expert tick control services in Bucks County, PA and Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset & Union Counties, NJ.

This option is appropriate for most properties in our region. It consists of four visits, each with a specific purpose.

April – This first visit is aimed at knocking back the population of over-wintering adults that are beginning to emerge. This step helps disrupt the spring egg-laying process and reduces later populations.

June – This treatment suppresses larval, nymph and adult stages to control the population.

August – The August treatment is also applied to your lawn, as well as perimeter areas, to help control peak mosquito activity. Suppressing mosquito populations helps reduce the spread of West Nile virus, mosquito-borne encephalitis, and heartworm in dogs.

October – One final treatment to control adults before they have a chance to hide away for the winter.
